If you’re travelling to Paris this Spring, or if you’re lucky enough to be heading there for Valentine’s day, we’ve got some great tips for you to fit in like a local!
The French are all about their etiquette so make sure you brush up on your basics! When entering a store, cafe, restaurant or any kind of business, it is expected that the customer makes the first greeting! Bonjour is the French for hello and au revoir is goodbye – pronounced ‘o revwa’ if you’re not sure!
The French are known for their impeccable style so if you want to blend in, you need to be on trend! For the ladies, a below the knee dress paired with flat ballerina style shoes are the way to go – the streets are generally cobbled and there is nothing chic about hobbling around in your heels!
For the guys, a simple crew neck sweater or shirt paired with a scarf is the perfect ensemble. Bundle up with a trench coat to complete your look and you will probably be mistaken for a French monsieur!
The weather dependent, picnicking in Paris is a great way to spend an afternoon. There are so many great bulangeries, and butchers in the city that you can’t go wrong, however we suggest trying Hugo Desnoyer’s – one of the most famous butchers in Paris!
You can enjoy your picnic at a spot near the Eiffel Tower and take in the beauty of Paris. Don’t forget to grab a coffee, and if you’re feeling like something a bit sweeter, the crepes in Paris, are out of this world!
Our last piece of advice about Paris? Have an amazing trip!
