Pretty much every woman has had that morning when we cannot find the lipstick you need or the brush you know you had just two minutes ago! It’s frustrating, time consuming, and unhygienic for our make up drawers or bags to be a mess and we are here to help you organize yours in the best way possible!
The number one thing involved in organizing our make up is cleaning our brushes. This seems like a task that you just want to put off for as long as possible but the more often you do it, the better your make up will be applied and the less prone you will become to spots and blemishes. When there is no bacteria on your brushes, there is none being transferred to your face – simple!
If you find that you’re grappling in the morning through piles of make up to find one particular thing, you need to organize your make up into groups – if all your foundations or blushers are in one drawer, you will quarter the amount of time it takes you to find it! If you’re on a bit of a budget, try find drawers online for great prices!
If you keep your brushes in a cup, you know immediately which one you need and you keep them in good condition for much longer. Along with this, keep your lip and eye liners in this cup with the color tab sticking out – you can locate it with ease! You can find cute containers in most dollar stores if you don’t want to spend a fortune!
If you feel like some of your make up has been around for a very long time, it probably has. Check the expiry on the base – there will be a mention of 12m, or 36m etc. This is indicative of how long the make up should be kept after opening it. If you think it has been around longer than the specified amount of time, it’s probably time to get rid of it. Don’t lose all hope though, with things like lipsticks, a simple alcohol wipe should kill any bacteria that may have grown.
With these tips, you should find that you give yourself a little more time in the morning to make yourself look great! You may also find an eye shadow or lipstick you forgot you even had!
