We’ve been raised with the simple notion that to protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays that may cause skin cancer, apply sunscreen when out in the sun and you’ll be just fine. Unfortunately, this is not entirely the case and new research continues to put this assumption into question.

There are harmful additives in sunscreen and information on their packaging is often incorrect or misleading. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) set out to correct the record, releasing a list of the sunscreens on market, which consumers should avoid entirely.
