Pretty much every woman in the world has experienced PMS symptoms, on different levels certainly, but pain is relative right? Well, there is a company out there that is aiming to banish these symptoms, no matter how bad, altogether. And not through traditional pain killer or exercise or nutritional methods! Read on to find out how marijuana may actually alleviate those dreaded cramps and pains once and for all.

Foria Relief is the company we’re talking about and they are after developing a suppository that aims to “maximize the muscle relaxing and pain relieving properties of cannabis without inducing a psychotropic high”. That’s right, even if you disagree with the idea of a drug induced high, you don’t need to worry. They want to spread the pain killing properties of marijuana to all who need it “utilizing modern extraction techniques to standardize purity and potency, thereby ensuring a safe and accessible experience for all women.”

At the moment, the suppositories are what some might consider expensive; $44 (us) for a pack of four but if this is something that gains popularity and production increases, the price will most definitely drop lower. With pain relief like this available to women, it will lessen the need for strong pain killers for women with extreme pains and may even reduce the need of putting younger women on the pill – a lot of girls start on the pill at a young age to help ease the pains of their periods but are subsequently pumping unnecessary hormones into their bodies at the same time.

While there still is not a hugely scientific based information database on this product, there are customer reviews which have been mostly positive. Most women reported a significant lowering in pain and seem quite happy with the product! While it is still limited to residents of California and Colorado right now, if all the tests proceed as they are expected to, marijuana based PMS pain relief may be a very real thing for women soon.
