Robin Williams will always be remembered for his hilarious antics, on-screen and off. The late comedian’s final film Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb is now out in theaters, but there is also a behind the scenes video being passed around cyber-space. Co-star Skyler Gisondo actually had Williams’s assistance in landing his prom date.

While away from home shooting the film. Gisondo was missing out on a pivotal coming-of-age moment: asking a girl to prom. So in a less traditional way, Hilary received her request through a video prom-proposal starring Williams and Ben Stiller.

“I realized that was the most awesome three minutes of my life and I’ve accepted it will go downhill from there” he said in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “All morning, Robin was pitching more ideas. He was saying ‘Can I say this? Would it be appropriate to say this?’ You’re Robin Williams. You can say whatever you want!”

Like one would expect from the funnyman, he started off being too-cool-for-school to pinching Gisondo’s cheeks saying “Look at this boy!” The two actors rattled off endless positive compliments for their teenager co-star. In the end it worked! His prospective date become a reality. More than prom, Gisondo will surely never forget this moment with Williams.

“Robin was this bottomless reservoir of kindness and hilarity. It was just so special to work so closely with this guy whose movies I’ve grown up with and watch his preparedness and his kindness.”
