Chevrolet Corvair

Do you know how the Corvair got its name? It’s a portmanteau of Corvette and Bel Air. How cool is that?  Due to its engineering and unconventional styling by engineer Ed Cole, the Chevrolet Corvair was named “Car of the Year” by Motor Trend in 1960.

Daimler Majestic Major

This luxury saloon car was produced by Daimler in Coventry, England between November 1960 and 1968. The Daimler Majestic Major had a 4561 CC V8 engine was a much powerful supplement compared to its predecessors. The engine transformed the staid majestic major into a high performance car capable of doing 120 mph. Despite the fact that the car was announced and displayed on 20th October 1959 at the  London Motor Show, the car that was on the stand, was only a mere prototype whose production did not begin until November 1960.
