The Best Of Spring & Summer 2015 Designer Fashion

Celebrities, musicians, designers, models and anyone else in the entertainment have been flocking to New York to attend NYFW Fall 2015 shows. And let’s just say we can’t wait for it to be Fall again, but don’t worry we’ll be posting some of our most-liked runway looks from those shows too.  Let’s take a moment though to back up and remember some of our favorite looks from the Spring/ Summer Collections.

CHANEL’S 2015 SPRING READY to WEAR

PFW SS15 Trend Tweed Chanel
Karl Lagerfeld’s ready to wear collection was an ode to feminists. To the women who are fighting for equal rights everywhere in the world. This came in light of the political events happening in Hong Kong last year. His collection was a culmination of release & restraint. This entailed  splotches of water colors,  bright psychedelic colors, lacquered pinstripes, sober navy tailoring, and a throwback to the white lace yokes from his days at Chloe. We saw a lot of tweed as well  and we can’t help but love everything Lagerfeld creates.

JEAN PAUL GAULTIER STREET STYLE

PFW SS15 Jean Paul Gaultier Street Style

If you didn’t know this particular collection of Gaultier was his last ready-to-wear one. The designer decided he wanted to focus his attention on his perfume business as well as Haute Couture. So most people refer to this as his ‘End of an Era’ collection.  However , the collection was called Election de Miss Jean Paul Gaultier 2015 which was divided into sections of his most famous work. From his Mexican Wrestling costumes to his Miss Redactrice du Mode looks ( ode to magazine editors and their distinctive looks) Gaultier reminded us all of what a truly talented and innovative designer he really is.  The above outfits were some of our favorite street style looks.

ELIE SAAB HAUTE COUTURE

I don’t about you, but I would shave my head to have one of Elie Saab’s Haute Couture gowns.  The Lebanese designer just knows how to capture glitz, glamour, and fairy- tale like designs through his amazing creations.  This collection was flirty and had a relaxed spirit to it. It was  filled with sheer tulle, feathers, and simple solid colors.  If  romance were clothes then Elie Saab would be the Casanova of Haute Couture.
