The easiest way to get those classic beachy waves is to use (believe it or not) a flat iron. Section your hair into several sections (five or six depending on how thick your hair is). Working one section at a time, twist your hair until you are left with a long rope of twisted hair. Run a hot flat iron down the rope slowly and repeat with each section. Voila! Waves without fuss!

French braiding your hair gets a new twist with the upside down French! Lay on a bed hanging your head over the edge so that your hair falls towards the floor. Beginning at the base of your skull, French braid your hair working towards the crown of your head. Secure the braid with a hair tie when you reach the very top of your crown. Twist the hair several times and pile it on top of your head in a classic ballerina bun.

This classic is perfect for summer since it gets your hair off of your neck! Start with your hair in a high ponytail either at the back of your head or the crown. Twist your ponytail around itself so that you have a long rope of twisted hair. When all of your hair is incorporated into the twist, swirl it onto your head in a circular design outside of your ponytail holder. Tuck the end underneath the bun and secure the twist with bobby pins, then finish with hairspray.

Wearing flowers in your hair is such a fun summer addition that will pop your style. Take a flower which coordinates with the color of your outfit. Part your hair on the side and begin twisting a small piece of hair taken from the front of your head near to your forehead. Twist back towards your ears. Secure the twist with a two bobby pins inserted in an “x” shape across the twist. Finish with hairspray and add the flower to cover the bobby pins.
